Burnout + somatic coachTrauma-informed yogaMparntwe

A reminder of what your body already knows.

I help busy, stretched-thin people move from burnout back to balance, with emotional coaching, nervous system tools and yoga that lets you go at your own pace.

Sound familiar?

For the ones who love being busy.

You love a plan. You can fill every spare bit of space with a project, a class or a favour for someone, and you're good at it. But lately your body has started asking for something your calendar doesn't have room for.

maybe you're...

  • tired all day and wired at night
  • scrolling to switch off, and never quite switching off
  • running on lists, coffee and willpower
  • treating your body like a project to fix
  • short with the people you love, then hard on yourself about it
  • craving rest, and feeling guilty the moment you take it

None of this means you're broken. Your nervous system has been working overtime, and it's asking for a different pace. We can listen to it together, gently, without forcing anything.

About

Hey, I'm Liana.

I'm a burnout and somatic coach, a trauma-informed yoga teacher and a school teacher, living on Arrernte Country in Mparntwe (Alice Springs).

I'm also a recovering busybody. I love a plan, and I can happily fill every spare minute with a project, a yoga class or a new hobby (guilty, I admit). Learning to notice when what I actually need is to slow down has changed how I live, teach and move.

These days I'm studying somatic coaching and counselling, teaching power vinyasa and embodied flow at Mulla Mulla Yoga Shala, and making little silver spirals by hand. My favourite medicine is still the simplest one: getting outside, going slowly and taking a proper breath.

Work with me

Ways back to yourself.

Wherever you're starting from, we start there. No fixing, no forcing, just practical, body-based ways to feel more like you again.

01 ~ one on one

Burnout + somatic coaching

A steady, private space to untangle burnout. We talk through what's going on, notice what your body is doing with it, and practise simple somatic tools you can actually use on a Tuesday afternoon: breath, movement, grounding and rest. Emotional coaching and nervous system care, at a pace that feels safe for you.

02 ~ on the mat

Trauma-informed yoga

Power vinyasa and embodied flow at Mulla Mulla Yoga Shala. Strong and playful, always with options. Every cue is an invitation, rest is always allowed, and you know your body better than I do.

Weekly classes + monthly circles

See classes

03 ~ for groups

Workshops for schools + teams

I'm a teacher too, so I know how much young people (and the adults around them) are carrying. I run practical nervous system workshops for schools, workplaces and community groups, with regulation tools people will actually use. No yoga mat required.

Shaped around your group

04 ~ make something

Collabs + pop-ups

Full moon flows, Stretch + Sculpt with Mez, journaling circles and the odd surprise. If you've got an idea for something slow and good, I'd love to hear it.

Come to a class

Move because you want to, not because you should.

I teach power vinyasa and embodied flow at Mulla Mulla Yoga Shala in Ciccone, a few minutes from the middle of town. Expect a strong flow, good tunes and plenty of room to do your own thing.

Grounded

a monthly flow + journal circle

Last Sunday of the month ~ 3 to 4.30pm

Something I missed about yoga in Naarm was satsang: community circles where you could chat, journal and move with like-minded pals. Grounded is my version. 75 minutes of power flow, then time to sit, write and talk through a monthly theme (the first one was Rest). Bring a journal, or borrow one of mine.

Next circle: Sunday 29 November

Return to Self

monthly flow + new moon reset

One Monday evening a month ~ 6.30 to 7.45pm

Take one evening a month to slow down and check in with yourself before life carries you into another busy season. A 60-minute power flow, a grounding meditation and an optional journal (journals provided). You don't need to know your sun, moon or rising sign.

Next: Monday 9 November

Weekly flows

power vinyasa, Flow & Go, Embodied Flow

Lunchtimes + weekends at the Shala

Strong, sweaty, playful flows with plenty of options, plus slower embodied classes for when you need to come back into your body. Times shift with the seasons, so check the latest timetable before you come.

Pop-ups

full moons + friends

Announced on Instagram first

Full moon power flows to shake it out and move through the lunar cycle, Stretch + Sculpt with Mez (mindful stretching, breathwork, Pilates-based strength and a long rest), and whatever else we dream up.

Beautiful class, great pace. Liana was a wonderful teacher with gentle suggestions for your own body. I'm going to sleep well tonight!

  • You're in charge

Every cue is an invitation. Take it, change it or skip it.

  • Rest always counts

Child's pose counts. Lying down counts. Leaving early counts.

  • Nothing to fix

Your body isn't a problem to solve. We're here to listen to it.

  • Your pace

There's no right way to look in a pose, and no rush to get anywhere.

Small invitations

For when the day has been a lot.

Little ways back to yourself, collected on walks, camping trips and very ordinary Tuesdays. Pull one, try it, see what happens.

Move without measuring it.

Choose a new trail. Walk and keep your phone at home. Return when your body feels ready.

Or just breathe with me.

Six slow breaths. In for four, out for six. A longer out-breath is one of the simplest ways to tell your body it's safe to soften.

ready when you are

Spirals + stones

We circle back, begin again.

“A spiral circles back without quite returning to its starting point.”

The spiral has become a special symbol for me: a reminder that life isn't meant to follow one path, or stay the same. We return to the same places with a little more perspective, sometimes in a scary and wobbly way.

Each of these sterling silver pieces is shaped by hand and set with a stone of your choice. Making them has become my ritual of rest, switching off and play, trusting my hands without quite knowing how a piece will turn out.

A more official little ordering system is coming soon. For now, we're staying slow :)
